Head of Metal Development

岗位职责

a) Product- and development strategy, (Portfolio, technology, roadmaps)

b) Seat Structure Design & development , achieving DtC design to cost and DfM design for manufacturing targets

c) Engineering budget, resources (Headcount) and competence development planning and execution, based on released business plans to achieve competitive development budgets

d) Support all other functions e.g. response to RFQ´s and creation of business case with required engineering input.

e) Creation of strategic product and development roadmaps based on BS (Brose Sitech) business strategy.

f) Planning, reporting and adherence to development budget and investments

g) Planning, reporting and adherence to PEP development milestones. Creation and adherence of development standards. Escalation and decision making

h) Technical evaluation/judgment of development suppliers (ABC ranking)

I) Approval of external contracts (before internal aligned) up to the defined approval limits.

J) Planning and adherence of resources and competences K) Ensure competitive eng budgets with utilization of BCC (Best Cost Country) L) Risk -definition, -assessment, -management and – steering according to BS risk assessment guidelines (e.g. COSO Enterprise Risk Management) M) Ensure best customer intimacy to each single development department of the VW group and new OEMs N) Ensure engineering support to all plant locations in China O) Ensure product release from customer (e.g. P-Release, B-Release, BMG etc.) P)lEngineering support to supplier product release
